The short answer to this is unfortunately, no.
Keeping moles out of your yard would be only slightly easier than keeping squirrels or birds out of your yard. The home remedies of which we've heard are in most part ineffective and some of them will cause even more damage to your lawn than the moles. The commercial treatments have never been proven to work and/or they are more expensive than our service.
There are however ways to discourage moles or make your yard "less attractive" (i.e. removing heavy brush, keeping overgrowth to a minimum, exclusion, etc.) that your technician will be happy to discuss with you after assessing the property
The moles we catch and/or fumigate will be dead so they certainly won’t return. But any moles living nearby will sense that the territory is available and may move in. It’s far easier to use and maintain an existing tunnel system than dig a new one. When a mole is removed from its home, it’s like a house sitting there with a “Free Rent” sign out front. Other moles nearby will love this and often move in.

It has to do with the food source. Generally speaking, the nicer the yard, the bigger and better the food supply. Once a mole finds a good food source, they’ll usually build a den in the area which will increase odds of getting more moles back in the future. Yards with more organic material and nutrients have a higher risk of reinfestation.
It also has alot to do with your specific situation and context; do you live in a rural area, is the property surrounded by open fields or dense woodland, are the neighboring properties dealing with infestations, or is your yard heavily landscaped, etc. Each property is different and presents a unique set of challenges to eradicate burrowing pests - that's what Burrow Busters is here for!
We can for the vast majority of our customers but inevitably there will be situations that need conistent treatment to manage the moles rather than eradicate them. These are the exception rather than the rule and account for a small percentage of customers.
The majority of our customers only need 1 treatment per year to keep their yards pest-free.
No, you do not need to be home or at your place of business. We just need to gain access to the service area. Any special information such as gate codes, dogs in the yard, etc., can be provided to us at the time we schedule your service.
